Elisa Arbia

Elisa Arbia, LLB with honors (Sapienza – University of Rome, “Sapienza’s outstanding graduate student of the academic year 2011\2012”), LLM (University College London, 2016) is Ph.D. candidate in “Law and Business” at L.u.i.s.s. University (2018-2020). She is co-founder and editor in chief (2012-2016) of Sapienza Legal Papers.

Qualified lawyer since 2015 (Council of the Bar Association of Milano) she worked as a practitioner at the Office of the General Attorney of State, at the Directorate-General for Competition of the European Commission, within the unit specialized in fintech and online payment platforms, and at Hogan Lovells LLP, serving the practice focused on competition law in digital platforms.

Her main areas of interest involve competition law and antitrust law, consumer protection, privacy law, and the regulation of new technologies.
