Elena De Nictolis is Post-doc researcher at LUISS Guido Carli University, Italy at LabGov – LABoratory for the GOVernance of the City as Commons (www.labgov.city). She earned her Phd in Political Science at Luiss University (2014) with a dissertation on city policies for urban co-governance of resources, assets and infrastructures in Italian cities. During the Phd she was visiting scholar at Urban Law Center at Fordham University (New York City). Under the supervision of Sheila Foster and Christian Iaione she is currently engaged with the international applied research project “Co-Cities”, the Horizon2020 project “Open Heritage” and – also under the supervision of Raffaele Marchetti – she is conducting research on city diplomacy and city-to-city cooperation with a specific focus on urban health governance and Africa-EU relations. She is adjunct professor and teaching assistant of the courses of Urban Law and Policy (Luiss School of Political Science) and Regulatory Innovation (Luiss School of law). She is scientific coordinator of the Interdisciplinary Urban Clinic LabGov.
