Silvia Scalzini is Postdoctoral Researcher and Adjunct Professor in Intellectual Property at LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome. She is scientific coordinator of the III Module of the Master in Competition and Innovation Law. Her current research interests focus on EU, international and Italian Intellectual Property Law; Private autonomy and data and information flows; Competition Law in digital markets; Legal and Ethical Challenges of New Technologies. Silvia holds a PhD cum laude in Individual Person and Legal Protections (cv European Law and New Technologies) from Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (2016), a Law Degree cum laude from University of Pisa (2011) and a Graduate Diploma in Law cum laude from Sant’ Anna School of Advanced Studies, Pisa (2013). She was also scholarship holder at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, München (2014-2015), visiting scholar at École Normale Supérieure de Paris (2009) and at Institute Suisse de Droit Comparé, Lausanne (2014) and visiting professor at IDC Herzlyia, Israel (2018). Silvia has served for several years, as expert ad acta, in the Research Ethics and Bioethics Advisory Commission of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR). She is Fellow of the Italian Academy of the Internet Code, as well as member of the Editorial Board of the Open Access Scientific Journal “Opinio Juris in Comparatione. Studies in Comparative and National Law” and Secretary at the Disiano Preite Association. She is Italian qualified lawyer.
