Vincenzo Iaia holds a degree in Law with academic distinction at the University of Bari discussing a thesis about IPRs in the movie industry. He carried out part of the research thesis at Aix-Marseille University (6 months) where he attended most lectures of the “Master II en droit des médias électroniques” and he was awarded for the “best thesis in law” by the University of Bari and the Lions Club.
During the years as a college student he enjoyed some ELSA (European Law Students’ Association) Summer Law Schools:
1. Information Technology law in Brno (2014)
2. Finance and Banking Law in Bucharest (2015)
3. Cinema Law in Lodz (2016)
4. European Business Law in Vienna and Bratislava (2017).
After the graduation he attended the specialization school for in-house lawyers in Milan (2018). Then he started a 18 months traineeship at the 1’ civil section of the Supreme Court of Cassation where he worked mainly on cases concerning Commercial Law and Industrial Law issues.
Now he is an italian qualified lawyer, Ph.D. fellow at Luiss University (Rome) in Law and Business, teaching assistant in Business and Industrial Law at the University of Bari, researcher for ELSA Italy on Legal Aspects of Artificial Intelligence.
He have published some articles on, IP and Antitrust Law, Corporate Law and Internet Law, which are currently his preferred research areas.
